Hey guys, today I have a delicious recipe for you that I learned from a friend. It's Chinese Egg Rolls and trust me, they taste absolutely amazing! This recipe is perfect for those who love Chinese food but want to make it at home. First off, let's take a look at the ingredients you will need:

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup green onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup cabbage, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Egg Roll Wrappers (around 12-14 wrappers)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Vegetable oil for frying
Now, let's get started with the recipe!

Instructions:

  1. Heat the sesame oil and vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the ground pork to the skillet and cook until browned.
  3. Add the green onion, red bell pepper, and cabbage to the skillet and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are slightly softened.
  4. Add soy sauce, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet and mix well.
  5. Remove from heat and let it cool down a bit.
  6. Preheat your deep fryer or a pot of oil to 375°F.
  7. Place one egg roll wrapper on a flat surface and add 1-2 tablespoons of filling in the center of the wrapper.
  8. Fold the bottom of the wrapper over the filling and roll it up about halfway.
  9. Fold the sides of the wrapper over the filling, then use the beaten egg to seal the top of the wrapper into a tight roll.
  10. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  11. Gently drop the egg rolls into the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
  12. Remove the egg rolls from the oil and let them drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  13. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
