- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
- Bring water and rice to a boil in a saucepan over high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until rice is tender and water has been absorbed, about 18 minutes.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and celery; cook and stir until tender, about 5 minutes. Stir in cooked rice, basil, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Cook and stir until heated through, about 5 minutes.

- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1/2 onion finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Parsley and green onions chopped for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
- Heat butter and oil in an oven-safe pot over medium-high heat. Add onions and garlic, cook for about 3 minutes or until onions have softened.
- Add rice and cook until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
- Add broth, bring to a boil, and stir. Put a lid on and transfer to the preheated oven.
